MEP User Guide
Unsubscribing End Users Through a Service
These steps explain how to remove an end user from a subscription using the Unsubscribe handler.
Note: Depending on your region and the type of campaign you are running, you will need to comply with a variety of different stop keywords. For example, US campaigns must enable end users to unsubscribe from a specific campaign with STOP and from all campaigns with STOPALL.
To unsubscribe an end user from a subscription through a service:
-
Click the Services tab, then select the service that you want to unsubscribe end users through.
The selected service opens in the Service Editor page.
Note: If you set up a service using the previous beta editor, and you still want to use that editor, click the Legacy Editor button at the bottom of the page
-
Select the handler.
The handler properties navigation pane appears on the right.
- In the handler's properties, set the subscription you want to remove the end user from. For example:
- For a STOP service, use A Single Subscription. Choose the subscription collection and subscription name from the drop down list.
- Use All Subscriptions or All Subscriptions in a Collection for a STOPALL service.
- Click Save.
After this handler, we suggest adding a SMS message that tells an end user that they have been successfully unsubscribed.
